My three days with Dash Diet. I didn't know where to start I went shopping and followed this chart, with the exclusion of meat I usually replaced it with lentils or a veggie burger that is low in sodium. Unfortunately I still do eat eggs and milk which I am trying very hard to wean off of.
I found this chart easy to use and simple. If I had to change my lifestyle to a Dash diet. I would begin this chart and then refer over to the Dash Diet pyramid.

My personal background I really try to eat healthy but with a new baby and running errands it is very easy to just pull into a fast food place and get a bite to eat. Currently I am eating vegetarian with a bit of egg and milk from time to time.But trying this task for three days has been quite and journey and as I am exposed to eating healthy. Honestly it is about time, during my pregnancy I only craved steaks which left me with weight gain. By eating vegetarian and zumba not only do I find more energy for my family.

Trying out this Dash Diet for three days seemed a bit overwhelming at first. The part that was overwhelming was measuring my food. Normally I am use to cooking without measuring which results in empty calories and consuming more then I should. My feelings are making a change in anyone's diet can be overwhelming! If I decided to start on the Dash diet again I would start with little changes and then progress into the full diet. For my patients I would definitely recommend this technique it is better to start somewhere then not to start at all.Being supportive and listening to them would definitely be important I know I had tons of question about this diet and had an exchange list to reference to . Also what I would be interested in is learning how to replace more cultural dishes with some of the foods from the Dash Diet.The Dash Diet is definitely worth it and I noticed a significant amount of energy similar to the hydration activity.
